Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
It looks somber on a gray day. But yes, it is restful.
I also like to read the inscriptions on the gravestones. The one with the dog and cat is very unusual.Have a lovely Monday William.

Great series with some beautiful burial monuments.
Nearly beautiful with the snow.
I always wince a little at the euphemism, Eternal Rest. Dead is what it is.
@Linda: quite so.@Sami: thank you.@Francisco: thanks.@Jan: I thought so too.@Iris: indeed.
Hello, the wreaths are beautiful. Great series on the cemetery! Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week!
It does look like a peaceful place. And the marker with the animals is sweet, obviously an animal lover lies there.
Cemeteries are serene places that can feel comforting.
It reminds me very much of the cemetery where my parents are buried back in Quincy Illinois. It looks a lot like this in the winter months.
We don't see the large cemeteries here as there are too few of us and we haven't lived here that long.
Peaceful looking!
Does indeed look peaceful William, love!y captures 💙
Lovely and serene wintry shots ^_^Happy Moments to You,A ShutterBug Explores, aka (A Creative Harbor)
Cemeteries can contain some interesting things.
There is something interesting about old cemeteries. A place of contemplation.
Looks a little depressive in the snow !
All those wreaths are a surprise.
Just beautiful. I love to stroll through cemeteries and I find that they can house some nice architecture.
@David: that's true.@Eileen: thank you.@DJan: definitely.@Maywyn: I think so.@Sharon: my mother is buried here, as are my grandparents.@Red: I have been in bigger cemeteries. Beechwood, which is here in Ottawa, is quite a sizable one.@Marie: that it is.@Grace: thank you!@Carol: thanks!@Tom: that's true.@Tammie: indeed.@Gattina: I can see that.@Kay: they were to me.@Michelle: I enjoy strolling through cemeteries.
This is so beautiful. I love the wreaths. And I agree about the cat/dog stone.
Thanks!
So unusual to see all that snow in your neighborhood William - over here we are sweltering in a heat wave with multiple bushfires in all directions
We have more snow in Ottawa than there was in Guelph.
So peaceful, I do like the wreaths. All the best Jan
