Between The Pack And The Herd

Another diorama inside the Mammal Gallery features a confrontation between a bison and wolves. More bison are painted onto the background, and panels reveal additional information below.


For today I finish up with this panel on the dynamic between predator and prey.

  9. The bison reminds me of our visit to the Yellowstone Nat.Park a few years ago. Impressive animals!

  17. Yellowstone National Park learned some fascinating lessons when wolves were reintroduced. Species populations came more into balance and the ecosystem began to flourish as animal browsing patterns changed.
