It is from the perspective of history, architecture, and the photographer that I most appreciate Notre Dame. The basilica is open to visits during the day whenever there aren't masses, and it's a peaceful place, albeit a magnificent one.
One last look at the sanctuary. It had been too long since I had been in here, and the return visit was a welcome one.
Outside on the grounds, a historical plaque telling a bit of the story of the basilica.
