The tulip beds on Parliament Hill extend over onto the east lawn as well, with the bushes as a good backdrop. Lilacs are among those bushes, as they blossom around the same time as the tulips each year. This brings to a close my tulip festival photos for the year. Have you had an overdose of these things?
I do like the lilacs!
ReplyDeleteI would like to see some real tulips around here... These are gorgeous!

the red and white are very striking!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have many (if any) lilacs blooming in Texas, but I used to love them in Illinois. The aroma is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteLilacs and tulips, two of my favorite flowers in one spot!
ReplyDeleteThe perfume of the lilac combined with the beauty of the tulips, perfect!

I'm beginning to wonder if tulip time shouldn't be the only time of the year to visit Ottawa as a tourist! Marvellous William!
ReplyDeleteReally lovely photos indeed!
ReplyDeleteYou could do another month of tulips as far as I'm concerned! I suspect they might start looking a little bedraggled soon, though!
