Springtime Views

These flowers can be found in Dundonald Park in the city's core, blooming quite nicely at the moment.


Up on Parliament Hill, I stopped a couple of times to get shots of blossoming trees along the walkway going around the buildings. This first shot looks out towards Major's Hill Park, the Rideau Canal down below. The American embassy is on the left and the Connaught Building is on the right in the background.


I snapped a couple of shots from a little further up on a day with less haze, looking towards the National Gallery and Notre Dame Basilica. I couldn't decide which one I liked more, so here are both of them.

    That last picture is my favorite with the buildings in the background above all the lilacs. I can almost smell them from the other side of the screen.

    On they ARE lilacs.. I thought so but wasn't 100% sure, bet the perfume was wonderful William.

    @VP: it's a great view up there- though perhaps not at the moment; word is there's a very territorial redwing blackbird harassing anyone passing too close to his nest.

    Wild roses? I knew they looked different.
