More fall colours today. These first two shots are of the same spot in Centretown.
This grove of trees is along Riverside Drive, west of Bronson Avenue where it crosses the Rideau River. Some days ago I featured the area in a couple of blogs.
Crossing over the bridge brought me past Brewer Park on the east side. These bushes were turning red and orange at the time. You'll notice in one shot some street art- the area beneath that portion of the bridge is a designated graffiti area.
Beautiful and dramatic colours!ReplyDelete
Yes, it's autumn! The colors make me want to do a little dance.ReplyDelete
I see you like your neighborhood. Especially in fall.ReplyDelete
Such a colourful sight to behold, especially the first shot! What a wonderful place to take a stroll.ReplyDelete

I love the fall colors. I just don't like the color that's coming... white! :PReplyDelete
I wish the wind would die down so the leaves would stay on the trees a little longer.ReplyDelete
@Jan: they are quite a sight to see.ReplyDelete
@Tamago: so do I.
@Noke: thank you.
@Halcyon: but that's the best season of all!
@RedPat: we've had quite a lot of the leaves fall in recent days because of wind gusts.
I love this time of year!!!!!ReplyDelete
I like the idea of a designated graffiti area. Perhaps that keeps it from spreading to areas where it is more vandalism than art.ReplyDelete
Lovely! The first two photos are my favorites.ReplyDelete
Thank William. I needed thatReplyDelete
Those bushes turning a robust red and orange are a native plant, staghorn sumac. You can actually cut off the berries and soak them to make a kind of pink lemonade (sometimes called sumacade).ReplyDelete
I love the colours of autumn. They never stick around as long as I would like.
Very pretty! Your shots yesterday inspired me to take a few myself today. I still have to see if they're decent. It really is a shame fall colors are so transient. One or two good storms and down they come.ReplyDelete
Great colors! Looks like that here at higher elevations.ReplyDelete
@Whisk: so do I.ReplyDelete
@Catalyst: it seems to work here.
@Cloudia: you're welcome.
@Gord: I'd forgotten what they were called.
@Kay: they don't last long, that's for sure.
@Norma: they're great while they're around.
@Linda: we're a good deal further north, so that's an influence.
