Finale

Today I bring my series on MosaiCanada to an end, but rest assured that it will feature into my favourite shots of the year post at New Years. I start with another perspective of Hachiko The Loyal Dog.

I took another shot of CPR 374, and did some editing on the shot so that we have three takes- normal, black and white, and enhanced colour.

The final topiary stands beside the station depot, across from Hachiko. The Garden Station has a wealth of flowers and vegetables around its centrepiece, a nod back to the story of rail transportation where gardens would be set up by stations. They served two purposes- to show settlers what might be grown in the area and to provide the station master and family with vegetables. The centrepiece is a topiary trowel, large scale.

Looking at The Garden Of Plants, which I showed you in yesterday's post, the flowerboxes were fringed by topiaries. From this side, you can see that they're ladybugs (much, much bigger than the real thing). I took a couple of shots.

I am ending the series with two perspectives of Hachiko, in different colour settings in both cases. I have thoroughly enjoyed showing MosaiCanada to you.
