Zip lining was certainly popular in Jacques Cartier Park during Winterlude.
Along the bottom of the slope for the snow slides was this fellow. This is the mascot of the Gatineau Olympiques, a major junior hockey league team on this side of the river. The team plays an inter-league game or two each year with the Ottawa 67s. Aside from games, mascots are busy at all sorts of events around the community.
Along one side of the slope was a massive bas relief sculpture, done in snow and ice, a challenge to photograph, with two faces in profile facing each other.
Here's a look at the next one, at the back side of the slope.
