The Eardley Escarpment is the great southern flank of the Gatineau Hills, high over the floor of the Ottawa Valley, and this part of the parkway includes three spots for lookouts. The last of them is the Champlain Lookout, offering magnificent views of the Valley. The land below is on either side of the Ottawa River, with Ottawa itself on the far shore- the community of Constance Bay forms the northwestern corner of the city's limits.
The heights were breathtaking in their fall colours, and dramatic in how they rise up from the floor of the Valley.
A panorama was appropriate.
