This large sculpture is based on the Ojibwe spirit horse, a specific breed of the tribe.
More of the ice sculptures for the businesses along the street.
A hint of things tomorrow- this was taken during the evening.
And with these two, this is what happens when ice sculptures are left in the open. These were taken a week later, with whatever features that were carved into them rendered opaque. This has been the problem ever since the ice sculptures were moved to Sparks Street- the inexplicable absence of shelters for the sculptures. Shelters keep them protected from the effects of the sun and the wind.
That unicorn looks fabulous!
