After prompting yesterday, I have changed out my blog header for something springlike, with tulips taken last May along the shores of the Ottawa River from Gatineau, looking towards Parliament Hill.
We begin today with A Sermon In The Old Church In Delft, circa 1650, by Emanuel De Witte.
Here we see Landscape With Hunters, by Jan Both, circa 1650, with perhaps contributions by Jan Baptist Weenix.
The Penitent Saint Jerome In His Study is a dramatic work by Pensionante del Sareci, circa 1615.
Here we have Christ, from the workshop of Rubens, circa 1612.
Rubens himself painted Head Of An Old Woman around 1615.
The Entombment dates to around 1612-14, and is also by Rubens.
I finish today with another Rubens painting. Stormy Landscape is from circa 1635-36.
...I love the new header!!!
