The Salutation Of Beatrice

We begin today with Jacobina Copland, by Henry Raeburn, circa 1794-98.

General Foy is an 1825 portrait by Horace Vernet.

At Fontainebleu, Sand And Oaks In The Sun is by Camille Corot, dating to the 1840s.

Here we see The Old Park At Saint-Cloud, circa 1831-32, by Theodore Rousseau.

Another painting by J.M.W. Turner. Mercury And Argus dates to 1836, using mythology as its subject.

Two wider views of these gallery spaces.

I finish today with The Salutation Of Beatrice, by Dante Rossetti, painted in 1859-63, using the story by the poet Dante as its inspiration.

  9. I like the colours of the walls, they don't detract from the artwork
