Lake Superior Paintings

Starting off today, this is Night, Pine Island, by A.Y. Jackson of the Group of Seven, painted in 1924.

Afterglow was painted around 1914 by Florence McGillvray.

Here we have The Fire Ranger, a 1921 painting by Franz Johnston of the Group of Seven.

Arthur Lismer of the Group painted October On The North Shore, Lake Superior in 1927.

The Big Rock, Bon Echo is another work by Lismer, dating to 1922.

Lawren Harris was another member of the Group. This is his work Pic Island, Lake Superior, circa 1924.

While here we have North Shore, Lake Superior, a 1926 work by Harris.

Lake Superior, Sketch, no. 63 is also by Harris, done circa 1926.

Snow Clouds is by Franklin Carmichael of the Group, painted in 1938.

Carmichael painted Port Coldwell (IV) in 1928 at top. At bottom is Coldwell Bay, North Of Lake Superior by Harris, circa 1923.

I finish today with Village In The Laurentian Mountains, a 1925 painting by Clarence Gagnon.
