A Stop At The Earl Of Sussex
The Earl Of Sussex Pub lies along Sussex Drive, on the edge of the Byward Market. It's a busy place, good for a drink if you so partake, or some tasty pub grub. I was taking the shot when bicyclists came into view.
I do like a good pub...ReplyDelete
And do they also serve good pub grub? LIke the lamppost, the flowers and the cyclist!ReplyDelete
It its good enough for an Earl, it's good enough for me. Cheers J.ReplyDelete
At this time, a cold beer is good anywhere.ReplyDelete
The bikes bring that little something extra to the pic - serendipity is a wonderful thing!ReplyDelete
neat store front. makes me curious. ( :ReplyDelete
Looks like a great place with lots of room.ReplyDelete
Sounds very British William .. cheers :)ReplyDelete
Fun times to be had at the pub!ReplyDelete
Always up for pub food, liquid or solid.ReplyDelete
@Mike: I go for the food myself.ReplyDelete
@Ciel: I've eaten in there on occasion. The food's good.
@Tomas: on a hot day, yes!
@Beth: I've always liked the architecture when I've passed by.
@Sharon: it does have a lot of room.
@Grace: that British influence is quite understandable.
@Birdman: a meal in here is filling.
I haven't been to a good, AUTHENTIC pub in a long time!ReplyDelete
i'll partake in a drink and pub grub!ReplyDelete
You always need a good pub!ReplyDelete
Love the place, the name and how you caught it with the passing bike.ReplyDelete
pub grub! sounds perfect! :)ReplyDelete
I like all of those windows. The bicyclist adds human interest to the shot.ReplyDelete
The bicycle gives us perspective. And I love pubs with names like that!ReplyDelete
I love that kind of neighborhood place!ReplyDelete
@Norma: I do like this one.ReplyDelete
@Tanya: I recommend the poutine.

@Cheryl: it is a name with character.
@Eve: thank you!
It looks rather classy to go in there.ReplyDelete
It's always positive when a place is busy with people, it must be good then.ReplyDelete
Pubs always seem more appealing to me than a standard U.S. "bar." This one looks inviting and the windows look like they lighten it up, too.ReplyDelete
This photo is great, I like how you've caught the cyclist in the photo. A nice pub too and pub food is the best.ReplyDelete
Love a good pub!!! Cheers!!!ReplyDelete
(Is a place where they all know your name!!!)
@Bieb: Well, Sussex Drive is a ceremonial route, so the places along it tend to have an upscale look.ReplyDelete
@Marleen: it is!
@Kay: this has character.
@Denise: the bicyclist adds such a good human quality.
@Chieftess: I wondered if anyone might bring that up!
Don't you love the serendipity of those cyclists!ReplyDelete
