The Leprechaun

This colourful leprechaun stopped to pose for me in the midst of the freezing rain on Saturday. Inquiries were made, but the devious imp wouldn't give up the location of that pot of gold.

Just up the street, this truck was carrying a portable party from one of the local pubs. They'll be busy tomorrow.

  6. That was a special meeting with that creature, I didn't know the word leprechaun, had to look it up. The mobile pubs I am not so fond of. We have those terrible cycling pubs here in Amsterdam lots of noises and lots of beers.

  10. @Orvokki: freezing rain is not my kind of weather, but it was relatively light.

    @Stuart: thanks!

    @Tomas: in a good rain I wear an Australian oilskin trenchcoat. It does a great job keeping me relatively dry.

    @Halcyon: here they will be very busy.

    @Gill: they definitely are.

    @Marianne: I certainly appreciated that this fellow stopped to pose!

    @Tex: hah!

    @Sharon: it does look cute.

    @Jennifer: fortunately it turned to snow later in the day.

    @Birdman: I find myself wondering if they were actually drinking!

  17. @Karl: fortunately these vehicles don't move fast!

    @Red: it's not the best weather, but that's typical for St. Patrick's Day parades here.

    @Judy: I would hope so!

    @Luis: thanks.

    @Pamela: I've attended them here, but not elsewhere.

    @RedPat: they will be packed.

    @Tamago: the person must be well balanced.

    @Parsnip: they might have to!

    @Linda: we've got a mix of English and French signs here, but this stretch tends to be more English.
