A Morning With Fog

We had one of those foggy mornings one day early this month. I crossed the Bronson Avenue Bridge where it spans the Rideau Canal, close to home. The view west over Dow's Lake was obscured, as was the view east on the Canal.

Downtown, the fog was slowly lifting, but you can see it in the distance to the east here at the two streets that make up part of the Transitway.

This view north is from a couple of blocks south of Wellington Street. There are hints of low lying fog off to the north- I should have gone up for a look That fog would have been thick lying over the Ottawa River.

  1. Beautiful.
    That is the one thing I miss living in the desert, fog mornings. Watching the fog roll in even in the day or night. lovely.
    There is something about lights in the fog.

  5. I truly love fog and shooting foggy photos! We've had a couple of very foggy mornings here, too. That's a lot of fun, especially when you're trying to play golf! But these are super shots, William. The one of the canal and the ones of the downtown area I particularly liked!

    @Linda: thanks!

    @Marianne: it is.

    @Janis: definitely not.

    @Tex: it does, yes.

    @Whisk: indeed!

    @Lowell: I can see that being a challenge!

    @Red: those two streets remind me of a canyon. An urban canyon. Albert and Slater hold our bus transitway system through the downtown core.

    @Grace: relatively early, but not so much.

    @MB: it can definitely be both.

    @Sharon: it really does!

    @Tomas: indeed.
