Following The Rising Dawn

Gloucester is a portion of Ottawa, taking up the southeast part of the urban area; before amalgamation, it was a city in its own right. I was out this way back in late September very early one morning during that rough spell I was having- I ended up walking along a road and photographing the morning as it started to present itself.

  6. Love dawn/dusk photos. They remind me of what humans experience that is alike. We tend to hyper focus on differences.

  8. Great walk! It's often recommended that a photographer take a walk and you will find photos. A walk is great when you don't feel well.

  9. @Janis: I've always enjoyed dawn and dusk shots. It's easier to get dusk shots though!

    @Gracita: thanks!

    @Norma: so did I.

    @Halcyon: very much so.

    @Sharon: very slowly!

    @Cloudia: indeed.

    @Red: that is true.

  13. I don't know what the residents of Gloucester are like but you might want to avoid walking the streets at night. Interesting photos though.

  15. Awesome images of a brand new day beginning. Nice ones William!

  16. @Beth: my cameras don't really catch the moon well. I've got it showing up in some shots down the line from a day earlier this month.

    @Tamago: that it was.

    @Jan: definitely.

    @Wiggles: okay...

    @Catalyst: it seems like something of a bedroom suburban community. Though there are a couple of places here I'd love to photograph, but can't- they're side by side neighbours, and both are headquarters to the two Canadian intelligence agencies. I'd be under surveillance from the moment I aimed a camera.

    @MB: that's true.

    @Bill: thanks!

    @Whisk: thank you.

    @RedPat: oh yes!

  17. That should have helped lightened the mood even though the blue is so strong.
