Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
The purple car is beautiful!
Nice I love the old classics
Men and cars, always a good combination.
i like the red chevy!
i liked the Camero ... nice! ( ;
that is a pretty nice old truck!
I love that gorgeous purple truck!
I know very little about cars, except how to drive them, but I love looking at old ones at shows and in museums. So, enjoyed this and your previous post. Btw, 'In Flanders Fields' has to be one of the most influential poems of all time?
@Marleen: that appears to be a consensus.@Bill: so do I.@Marianne: it's typical.@Tex: another good one.@Beth: thanks!@Tanya: yes, it is.@Sharon: it's popular!@Mike: I too tend to be not that well informed on cars. Current models, I can tell what's a Jeep and that's pretty much it. And yes, I'd say Flanders Fields is extremely influential. It pretty much sums up the entire war in a few lines.
I can't decide which one I like best!
I do not consider myself to be a fan of cars by any stretch of the imagination. However, vintage cars is a whole other ballpark! I can't get enough of them. They are all beautiful! :)
I can't decide which one I like less! (just kidding).Tomás.
Classic car shows are so much fun. And the owners are so PASSIONATE about their make & model!JanisGDP
I like the truck. It looks like they put an Oldsmobile bumper on the front. It suits very well.
I like that purple people eater (grin) too!
I love that red car! Classic cars bring back lots of memories of when they were on the road. Nice shots William.
@Norma: for me it's the pick up truck this time out. Tomorrow's post is about a pick up truck too... which looks very different!@Linda: vintage cars are a delight.@Tomas: hah!@Janis: they are.@Mo: indeed.@Red: it reminds me of one my cousin restored.@Catalyst: that does seem popular!@Bill: they do, yes. Thank you.
Some of these don't look quite "classic" to me yet! :-O
I'm not really a car guy, but I do find some of these old cars beautiful.
I like the sports cars. But experience has taught me that they are all for shorter people--at least the hardtops. :-)
Aaaaah, big toys for big boys! :)
I'm not a huge car person, but I do love a nice vehicle and classic cars make interesting things to look at :)
@Halcyon: hence the sports car addition!@Jack: I'm not that much for cars, but these sort of things I'll go for. They make great photo ops.@Revrunner: that's a problem for me- long legs!@Nathalie: definitely!@Meradeth: they do, yes.
Oh how I love old cars. that blue mustang looked a bit like my yellow one!
Fancied up autos. My brother-in-law has a 1963 Pontiac Tempest that has been driven over 500,000. Yes, it has won an award or two, plus got him written up in some magazine that reports on old autos. He now has a different auto also. It seems there are collectors that prefer the vehicles with the original paint and original parts.
My husband sometimes watches TV shows about restoring cars. Personally I like new cars.
I'm not a fan of muscle cars but that truck is a real gem.
Nothing like a vintage car show to generate a lot of enthusiasm.
These vehicles are fascinating. Love the different styles and colours.
Looks like all the cars from Jay Leno's garage! Lovely, they are, too!
Beautiful classics there.
These make an amazing hobby for many. We often see them traveling in groups to shows.
@Janey: they're formidable vehicles.@Mari: I'd probably not be the right sort of person for cars like these. What's under the hood is baffling to me!@Linda: I'm not very good with car trivia and knowledge. I can identify a Jeep straight off. Everything else? Not so easily.@Kay: I agree.@ODP: indeed.@Gemma: thanks!@Lowell: they're well looked after.@Denise: definitely!@Jennifer: it wouldn't surprise me if these show up at various spots through the area with regularity.
