I returned again to Commissioners Park at Dow's Lake a few days back, early in the morning to see how things were coming along. Photographers were present amid the rows of tulips, as we can see here and in posts to come.
Someone came out from her nearby home to say hello. I think I've seen this particular supreme life form here before.
The two ducks on the other side of the path kept an eye on her, but she was far more interested in attention from passing lowly humans.
Lovely photos, William, and the ones that capture my heart the most this time are this gorgeous black cat and the ducks. :)
ReplyDeleteIs that one of the capitol kitties? Love to see that cats like tulips too!

Beautiful tulips but even more gorgeous supreme life form ☺ I think the ducks were right to be wary, pussycats can be unpredictable and.. fast!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos again.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, did you remember spit three times if the black cat went over the road. The black cat knows the accident.
Tulip heaven is looking good William. It's nice to see that the black cat appreciates tulips too.

ReplyDeleteHello, Kitty! Oh, I have ducklings on my blog today.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the movie line, "I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille."
ReplyDeleteIs the cat smelling or eating tulip? ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like the ducks and the cat are enjoying those tulips too :)
ReplyDeleteI so miss my black cats!
ReplyDeleteThose who don't believe cats are a supreme life form, should just ask them!
ReplyDeleteActually, if cats could talk to us, they probably wouldn't...
Really nice photos William! Even better when enlarged.
So nice to see the cat and the ducks among your other lovely photo's.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
@Nancy: thanks!
ReplyDelete@Linda: I saw!
@Kay: I can see that.
@Klara: I think smelling. I believe it's not good for them, and they know it.
@Denise: you wonder what they make of all the fuss.
@Jennifer: my favourite of the many cats we had was a black one named Misty.
@Pat: cats would never lower themselves to speak in human languages.
@Jan: thank you!
