Tulips And The Waterfalls

Tulip beds were in full bloom here in the park around Rideau Falls during my visit in May.

The Rideau River meets the Ottawa River here, splitting into two channels around Green Island and spilling down into the river. The first you see here is the east branch, and the volume of water going over was considerable. I recorded two videos of the falls, and this is the first. It is a strong contrast to how the falls were looking during my last visit in September- check out this video for the falls at a lower flow.

This is the west branch of the falls. Here's a video of these falls during the visit.

  1. The tulips are always wonderful, and also because they are so many together. Lovely colors.
    The waterfall is spectacular.

  9. Gorgeous flora. I love waterfalls, but they are scary, too, especially when the volume of water is so high! Nice shots, William!
