As I mentioned in yesterday's post, the group finale show took place after Fraser Hooper's last show at this location, with several of the buskers participating. It started with the husband and wife team of Sean and Heather McManus doing their blend of comedy and bouncing acrobatics on the trampoline.
Their son joined them for the last element of the act- the three of them somersaulting together. I wasn't quite fast enough with the camera to catch them in the moment.
Jaardu the magician also participated, using his cobra in the basket shuffling cards trick. He selected a woman from the audience, had her select a card, and walked her around the crowd to show the card.
Then she had to hand the whole deck over to the cobra in the basket.
After a bit of shuffling, the cobra came back up with the same card she had selected- you can see the snake (fake, of course, but it moves like the real thing) in these last two shots. I have more from the finale show over the next two posts.
I wouldn't be able to jump on the trampoline, so I admire all those that do all sorts of acrobatics.ReplyDelete
Glad the snake was fake.
Snake! Glad to know they didn't use a real snake. I will never go near a snake show!ReplyDelete
..they sure pack in a crowd.ReplyDelete
Uma bela sequência de fotografias.ReplyDelete
Um abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

Cobra?! I don't care if it's fake. That's creepy!ReplyDelete
@Sandi: it still pops out of the basket as if it's real!ReplyDelete
@Nancy: I find snakes fascinating. I've once touched a python, and you could just feel the power of the animal.
@Tom: they do!
@Sandi: cue Indiana Jones: "why'd it have to be snakes?"
I'm also glad to learn that the snake isn't real! I used to enjoy trampolines in my youth. No more, though. :-)ReplyDelete
Great photos William! I think I would have had pause at that cobra basket.ReplyDelete
And good job it wasn’t real :)ReplyDelete
what a moment, i see someone say something about a snake ... i gotta go back, how did i miss that? but he is not real, what a relief. lol!! ( ;ReplyDelete
Trampoline is fun to watch though scary!ReplyDelete
It seems that many of the buskers have a close relationship with other buskers and can do different shows with each other.ReplyDelete
@DJan: I've bounced around on the odd one, but it's been years.ReplyDelete
@Denise: it's funny to see it pop out!
@Beth: lots of people have problems with snakes!
@Marie: they get up high.
@Red: you do get the impression they're well acquainted with each other, particularly at group shows, but also I've seen just in terms of interaction with each other when one comes across another in the midst of setting up their own show.
Gosh look at that audience.. they must have been good to hold their attention William ✨ReplyDelete
Great show, no wonder so many people are watching.ReplyDelete
That's a new twist on the age-old card trick!ReplyDelete
