A reminder to members of City Daily Photo: the theme day for December is Comfort Food.
Early one morning I was out at Lansdowne Park to catch the sun rising just above the horizon.
There is a mix of trees here, near the south portion of the stadium, where a wooden screen curves around the structure.
I then headed over to the nearby Bank Street Bridge, where I photographed the fall colours over the Rideau Canal, first looking to the east, then to the west.
A couple of days later downtown, I took these shots at City Hall.
Nearby, I noticed this side entrance for Knox Presbyterian Church, framed by ivy in a fall state.
Dundonald Park again, with the trees showing more change.
For today I finish with this shot taken a day or so later. I was down at Lebreton Flats and photographed the Canadian Firefighters Memorial with fall colours. I was on my way to the nearby Portage Bridge, and decided to make a good walk of it. Tomorrow we'll pick up from here.
Oh, lovely scenes! Have a good week!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful time of year it is with those spectacular colours.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful sunrise photo, love those clouds, and also the ones in the reflection of the river. The Fall colors along the Rideau Canal must be spectacular, as are those in your series of changing leaves. The ivory framing the church door is one of my favorites, though they are all quite lovely. A touching memorial to the firefighters. That must have been a great walk. Thanks for sharing the sights you saw.
ReplyDeleteGotta love those autumn leaves!
ReplyDeleteFavorite is the clouds reflected in the canal.
