Colours

A few days after my previous visit I returned to Commissioners Park at Dow's Lake, where more of the tulips were showing themselves.

Another member of the Tulip Paparazzi on the other side of this bed off to the west side of the main path. My preference for coming here is mid-week. I was here again this past weekend and the crowds were frankly too much. But we'll see that down the line.

One of these beds, with the lake in the background.

For today I finish with another of the beds on the east side of the main path. Much more in the coming days.

  1. When there are too many people around a woman I know uses the expression, "It's too peoply!" The whole world has become too people unfortunately.

  15. So pretty in amongst the flowers, in Autumn do the bulbs get lifted and then replanting in late Winter or are they left in the ground?

  16. At first, I thought they were poppies! I just photographed some wonderful ones yesterday. Alas, all our tulips are history.

  17. I planted some tulips this week. Hopefully when spring arrives here we will get just a little of this beauty.

  18. Ah, I had to pop in here before my day starts. What glorious images of the tulips. Me, a foreigner, always imagined there are only such magnificent tulip displays in Holland. You have dispelled that in my mind. Have a great day, William. Regards from South Africa (Jo)
