The Base Of The Peace Tower

These shots from the late summer are from around Centre Block's Peace Tower. I considered using this large arched space for the Shelter theme at the beginning of October. I have more from Parliament Hill in the next two days.

  12. Hi William, thank you so much for your comments on my blog, and in reference to the photo captcha thing, the blog that I visited yesterday that was in another language did not have the photo at the top, only the description of what they wanted you to click on in the way of images. I see that the English one does have this so it makes it easier for people to understand the picture, but the blog I visited yesterday showed no image at all at the top, gave only a word description so I just didn't bother commenting because I didn't feel like having to translate it. It isn't like you can translate a page because it is a pop up window and most translators only handle text on the actual blog itself. This is why I put text above my quotations, because although the translators can translator the text on my blog they don't recognize images with text as text. Sigh. LOL! :) Thanks again, and thankfully thus far today I have not had the robot captcha thing or any pictures on any blogs I have visited, so this is a relief. :)

    @RedPat: I do too... very Canadian when you really study them.

    @Revrunner: yes, they did well to build it like this.

    @Orvokki: I agree!

  27. Beautiful arches and architecture. I haven't been to Ottawa and the Parliament building since 1996 in the days before digital so the only photos I have are landscape type taken with film. Time to go back I think.
