To those who have been to Vienna (or would like to), have a look over at my writer's page today, where I'm doing a movie review today. Is this a film you've seen? And a reminder to members of City Daily Photo, the theme day for December 1st is Shop Window.
These photographs are from Major's Hill Park; the first two are early in the fall season. Colonel By stands proudly over the flowerbed.
These are later in the season. The National Gallery, the American embassy, and Parliament Hill can be seen in the background of these shots. I should have been more clear in yesterday's post- I haven't been inside the American embassy!
Yours is a lovely town, William. Thanks for the mention of CDP theme day. I'm ready with a real ripper!
ReplyDeleteWarm ALOHA,

Only a word to say about it, they are some marvellous shots

The leaves have all fallen here from the trees now too.
ReplyDeleteThe coloured trees are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the fall colors!
ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten about this spot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots William. Love the red.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty colors. Today it's gloomy here; winter's coming.
ReplyDeleteLove the reds and the other autumnal colors!
ReplyDeleteThe trees are doing their seasonal job.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to use a series and show the advancement of fall colors.
ReplyDeleteWould be nice to stroll around here, fine colours !
ReplyDeleteI especially love your 2nd, 3rd, 4th and last photos!

Stunning views of Autumn worlds. Love the proud stance of the colonel in the first photo.

@Jennifer: I do enjoy walking in this park. It's such a pretty stretch.
@Luis: thank you!
@Pat: we've got grey skies today and probably cold enough for snow.
@VP: so did I.
@Sharon: they certainly were!
ReplyDelete@Red: I thought so myself.
@Karl: it's such a pleasant park.
@Linda: thanks!

The Colonel: "I came; I saw; I conquered." :-)
ReplyDeleteThe trees look lovely William but that staue is a classic, a wonderful piece of work. It's the pose that makes it with one foot on the rock, it jussi outs 'follow me' I'll conquer the world'...
ReplyDeletepretty colors.
ReplyDeleteA nice wander!
ReplyDeleteI would love to walk around this area and I think the statue is incredible. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and an amazing place.
ReplyDeleteIf only all our soldiers only had to stand watch over a bed of flowers!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. I rather prefer the embassy's look from behind some autumn trees.
The leaves and greenery really make the area stand out!

@Tex: they are!
@Jackie: it is.
@Denise: I've walked through that park many times now.
@Mari: that it is.
@Kay: the embassy is different in each season. It's taken quite a long while, but I've actually gotten used to the place, as severe as it initially looks.
@Janis: they do indeed!
@Whisk: wind will do that.
@EG: thank you!
@Grace: it does indeed.
@Carolann: I do as well.
@Jan: it is, yes.
