Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
Tulip madness! What's not to love about these gorgeous blossoms?!
It would be cool to have so many tulips here.

The white/red tulips are very pretty!
i really enjoy your angle of the last shot ... nice!! ( ;happy week!
I really like today's close up shots. JanisGDP
The traditional red and yellow tulips are perhaps the most beautiful (though really, I like them all!).
Love all the colours William but the red en masse look incroyable!
...I like the purple and white.
@Kay: indeed!@Klara: it is.@Francisco: thanks!@Marleen: those would be the Canada 150 tulips.@Beth: thanks!@Janis: me too.@Halcyon: they are quite a sight.@Grace: they definitely do.@Tom: it's a good combination.
Tulips are fantastic.Love the previous post of the artwork.MB
some Ottawa home owner likes tulips and knows what to do with them.
Those first red tulips are outstanding....such depth in color. Thanks for your funny comment on Ocala: Duckination, indeed. Might work better than what we've got now - a big fat stupid goose!
Wow, there are some real beauties in this group. I love the purple and white ones.
I like the 2nd photo where I can see the tulips from the top. Beautiful tulips!
A burst of beauty in these tulips!
tulips sure do brighten a place up don't they?!
@MB: thank you!@Red: this is a pretty garden. I pass that property on a regular basis, and it is well kept up.@Lowell: it seemed appropriate!@Sharon: that might be a Canada 150- I remember somewhere hearing that while most of that type of tulip were showing white and red, some came up with orange or purple in place of red. The pattern is like the Canada 150, anyway.@Nancy: thanks!@RedPat: I keep wondering if any of my readers will be sick of them before I'm done.@Linda: indeed!@Tanya: they do!
Tulips brings a smile to my lips :)
Tulips are even more spectacular when they start opening up. Gorgeous photos William.
They're all so beautiful...but I still favor the yellow ones!
How lucky you are to be surrounded by so much beauty and so many tulips! I'd be happy to see even one tulip around here but it looks like they prefer your area. :)
I like the purple and white too. Probably because those were my high school's colors!
Your caption said it all.
@Bill: me too.@Denise: thanks!@Norma: more yellow to come!@Eve: I think they require a certain climate.@Lois: it's an unusual combination. I do think it's a Canada 150 that shifted colours at some point over the winter.@Mari: thank you!
They are dazzling. Are they done by now?!
Some years they can be quite late.
Dazzling certainly describes them well ...Great series of photographs. All the best Jan
