This circular flowerbed in Commissioners Park had two types of tulips- when I came back here for another photo tour on the last Friday of the festival, they were fully open. I'll be showing that set before this series is done.
This was a temporary installation in the park.
This is a permanent installation, Man With Two Hats, by the Dutch artist Henk Visch. It has a double in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
The flowerbeds further on in the park were irresistible for photographers.
Great pictures of an amazing mass plantingsReplyDelete
The sculptures are very nice but the tulips are the real stars of the show.ReplyDelete
enjoyed both sculptures!ReplyDelete
I like the tulip sculpture.ReplyDelete
...Willam, I've never seen so many tulips before, quite the sight. Thanks for sharing.ReplyDelete
Love the sculptures William but the 5th photo is the winner for me today!ReplyDelete
I love the idea of two hats and the meaning behind it.ReplyDelete
@Maywyn: thank you!ReplyDelete
@Kay: they are indeed.
@Marleen: it was a neat addition.
@Tom: you're welcome.
@Janis: I do too.
Now I like the man with two hat. It's thought provoking. Tulips are more showy when they are fully in bloom.ReplyDelete
Love the flowers! But you know that. I like that quirky sculpture, too. And the man with two hats is pretty funky. It seems he needs two heads! And if those heads were empty he could become our president! Yea!ReplyDelete
I especially love photo #5!ReplyDelete
Fantastic shots of the tulips, and I do love those sculptures.ReplyDelete
I can certainly understand how irresistible these flowers are to photographers. They are so beautiful, I wouldn't be able to resist them either.ReplyDelete
I love the tulip sculpture!ReplyDelete
Beautiful! Love the picture of the photographer -- nice perspective.ReplyDelete
The sculptures are my favorites, also the 5th photo is really beautiful with the different coloured tulips side by side. A very pretty arrangement.ReplyDelete
