A Finale

A note to members of City Daily Photo: for June, the theme is When I (or you) can travel again.

Starting where we left off yesterday, two more views from the upper level of the glass tower at the National Gallery.

Descending the stairs, one finds this sculpture on the landing below. Young Woman Bathing is by Aristide Maillol, and was done between 1919-21.

Here is the view from the lower level. Parliament Hill is out there.

I took a look back down the corridor branching off to the north.

And then I started down the long ramp leading to the entrance lobby.

Outside, Maman by Louise Bourgeois was waiting as I departed into the March twilight. I hope you've enjoyed this tour.

  22. Do or die (I hope not the latter!), I'm traveling again this weekend. Uhm, provided, of course, that there will be gas available and that there's no sudden upsurge in Covid infections.
