Finale

All good things must come to an end, and so it is with my coverage of our Tulip Festival. A couple of weeks worth of photography lasted me the better part of two months for the blog, which suits me fine. I trust that you've enjoyed seeing them as much as I've enjoyed showing them.

  4. Tulips and most other flowers I think are beautiful to see. But after a while they start to look very similar. Then it is good to photograph them in such a way that more of the surrounding environment can be seen. That keeps it a bit more interesting for me.

  7. I think maybe the red & white tulips in the first few photos were Canada 150 tulips, but it is difficult to tell because there are several very similar varieties. In any case, they didn't do well for most of us and have certainly disappeared from my garden.

  8. I think that somewhere there must be an Honourary Order of the Tulip, and you will be the recipient of its next award, William!

  11. @Jan: I can see that.

    @Eileen: thank you.

    @Joha: you're welcome.

    @Anvilcloud: I wonder if the difference is in digging them up after blooming and replanting the bulbs in the fall. I know the Canada 150 tulips in Confederation Park aren't dug up, and they seem to be less by the year.

    @David: thank you.

    @Nancy: thanks.

    @Grace: they do.
