Carrying on, here we have Mary Magdalen, by Domenico Puligo, circa 1520-25.
Portrait Of A Man With A Felt Hat is by Lorenzo Lotto, and is thought to date to 1541.
Pierantonio Bandini is the title of this portrait by Agnolo Bronzino, dating to 1550-55
Dutch artist Emanuel De Witte painted A Sermon In The Old Church In Delft around 1650.
Here we have The Annunciation Of The Virgin's Death, by Paulus Bor, dating to 1635-40.
I finish today with this landscape by Meindert Hobbema, dating to around 1670. Landscape With Two Watermills looks devoid of activity, but as a docent pointed out to me once, when you start really looking at it, there are people everywhere.
The last painting has an inviting vibe to it.
ReplyDeleteI'm in for the last painting too, it's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteA very big frame for the felt hat painting me thinks.
ReplyDelete...the landscape is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBuenos retratos, con motivos eclesiƔsticos. Se ven que son grandes pintores los que lo han realizado.
ReplyDeleteQue tengas una buena semana.
Gostei destes belos quadros.
ReplyDeleteUm abraƧo e boa semana.

I found at least a few of the people in the landscape -- kind of a grown-up version of a child's search for the object puzzle although I'm sure the artist would not love that description. It's a wonderful experience to be able to visit such a lovely gallery easily. Thanks for sharing it with those of us from smaller less cultured places!!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen these paintings,... as far as I remember.
ReplyDelete@RedPat: me too.
ReplyDelete@Sharon: it does.
@Jeanie : I like docents.
@Carol: thank you.
@Sallie: I can see that.
@Catarina: it's been awhile since I last featured the Gallery.
That landscape is my favourite today!
ReplyDeleteIt does stand out.
DeleteToday the landscape is the most relatable. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome.
DeleteLovely set of beautiful paintings.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteNicr selection. The portrait of Bronzino, the details of his coat is striking.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteBeautiful paintings, I like the landscape as where I lived in Brooklyn, NY was called "mill Basin" as there were the ruins of old Dutch mills in the marshes.
ReplyDeleteGiven the old Dutch connections that is not a surprise.
