Continuing on with where I left off yesterday with this particular bed of tulips near the Rideau Canal in the Glebe. I took some more shots. Some of these would make quite the challenging thousand piece jigsaw puzzle.
Moving along and pretty much across the parkway, Canal Ritz is a restaurant alongside the Canal. There was a bed of tulips outside.
And just beyond the restaurant, the path splits between remaining along the Canal and heading up onto the Flora Bridge, a graceful pedestrian bridge that links the Canal to Old Ottawa East.
A close up of that bed above.
The slope leading up to the bridge itself had a lot of daffodils growing in the grass. More so than last year, I thought.
And just beyond the bridge is a pond that appears linked to the Canal, seen in the background. Blossoming trees add a pretty touch.
Flowerbeds at the far end of the pond have tulips. The bridge is in the background, spanning the Canal.
A fine floral display to brighten up any day.

ReplyDeleteSo it seems.
DeleteI like the last one by the pond. Well I like a lot of them, but I’m just saying … 😀
ReplyDeleteThe pond is a nice touch.
DeleteLove those frilly petal tulips. I wouldn't mind seeing a bed of the pale yellows, but they sure are lost between the brilliant orange ones. Perhaps one opens earlier than the other...or something, for them to have been planted together. And then you showed us the two kinds of pink multi-petaled ones. Such beauty!
ReplyDeleteThey do seem to have a tendency to open one before another.
DeleteThe pond is my fav.
ReplyDeleteIt stands out.
