At this particular spot on the path, a roadway curves away from the park, with a low stone wall framing the flowerbeds. I'm careful to photograph here, because to the left of this picture is an infill housing example- a home built after tearing down the previous one that was there. And it's the ugliest piece of modern architecture in this area. A blight on the neighbourhood.
A shame for the residents of this lovely home, as they have to look out across the street at that monstrosity. I've always liked this one.
Standalone tulips at the bottom of the slope of the above house. Perhaps the work of diligent squirrel gardeners?
The path continued on. These beds at left were not yet showing colours.
At the south end of the park are a couple of beds, with a ribbon of grass between them. They have as a backdrop some homes which are probably the most photographed this time of year. As you can see, some sections of a bed gets planted a bit later than others- so in this case, some colours have come out before others.
You wrote at the south end of the park are a couple of beds, with a ribbon of grass between them. They have as a backdrop some homes. The park looks terrific and the houses are gorgeous. Even the lamps were carefully chosen.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteSorry, but you made me laugh (bitterly, but laugh) about the architecture. Oh, how sad, "monstrosity"!
ReplyDeleteBraunschweig was heavily destroyed in WWII and parts had to be rebuilt very fast, so I know of those...
This one is a pile of ugly.
Delete"This one is a pile of ugly." Made me laugh, William! This sounds like something Southern women say. 😂
DeleteIt seems an appropriate term.
DeleteHappy to see the tulips starting to show. What a great path you have taken us on today.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI am desperate to see the 'monstrosity' now.
ReplyDeleteI actually posted it yesterday at Facebook as a memory on my own page and for my ODP page there. Otherwise, since the corner intersection signage is there, it ought to be viewable on Google Earth.
DeleteThey are opening...
ReplyDeleteYes they are.
DeleteSchön die verschiedenen Tulpen.

Thank you.
DeleteI like the curved lines of some of the flower beds.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteThat ugly architecture sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteIf it was in a different setting, who knows? But not here.
Delete...Dow's Lake is a glorious area!
ReplyDeleteIt is.
DeleteIt's a lovely neighbourhood.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely.
DeleteBlossoming is starting. Beautiful view
ReplyDeleteDefinitely.
DeleteAmazing what a difference a few days makes to the bulbs.
ReplyDeleteTrue!
DeleteDoes any other place have a tulip showing of this magnitude? The Netherlands?
ReplyDeleteThem, yes.
DeleteRevealing their beautiful colours!
ReplyDeleteThat's the idea.
DeleteIt's so nice to see the swath of colour.
ReplyDeleteIt is.
DeleteHow wonderful for those home owners to have the beautiful flowers blooming right out their windows. But how awful to have all those touristy people with cameras out there during daylight hours. Maybe they can appreciate the flowers before the tourists arrive, or after they leave!
ReplyDeleteProbably early morning.
DeleteUn camino, que da gusto seguir, por la belleza que tiene esas flores cercanas.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteLooks like a great crop of tulips this year.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteLook at the tulips!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite the house.
I like it.
DeleteOpening up to show their beauty.
ReplyDeleteThat they are.
DeleteLovely colourful tulips but I don't know why people have to build ugly houses.
ReplyDeleteThis one is. I may photograph it this week.
DeleteBeautiful, those houses have the perfect view of the tulip show each year.
ReplyDeleteThey do.
DeleteBelas fotografias.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.
