Visiting The Park

Commissioners Park is at Dow's Lake, and is the largest site in the national capital area for tulips during the festival. I came down early in the month, finding that some of the tulips were starting to show colours. I started at the northwest end of the park.

Grape hyacinth, or muscari, is often planted as a companion flower to tulips.

The next bed beckoned me on, most of the tulips just starting to show some colour, but not yet in their glory.

  2. Great to see, but, and I will only say this once, you really should have a DSLR, or a mirrorless camera.

  3. There's always such a fine show of tulips in your city. I think our tulips are just about coming to an end, despite the cool weather we've had lately.

  9. I think the heat we are to get today will mean the end for a lot of our tulips.
