River Of Colour

This is the largest of the standalone flowerbeds at Commissioners Park. During this visit the colours of tulips were just starting to show, but not there yet.

Across from it, another bed. A lot of the flowerbeds here have a flowing effect.

Daffodils are found in the park as well, some growing in the grass. In this case, they grow on a traffic island in the parkway, dividing lanes.

But they also accompany tulips, such as here. The tulips in this bed were behind the daffs, but by the next time I was here a few days later, things were different.

  9. They are almost ready to burst open. I saw some tulips yesterday in a garden but the buds were still green. It will be a few more days before they open up.

    1. That's surprising given how much further south you are, however elevation might also play a factor.

    1. I probably have one more day's worth of photographing to do down here at Dow's Lake, and that'll be it. It's been a busy day for me with photographing.
