After my visit to Gatineau, I returned across the Alexandra Bridge into Ottawa, and made my way into Major's Hill Park, another of the big sites for the Tulip Festival, and where I actually started this series. Here in the north end of the park are some large beds. It was busy- this was Mother's Day, in fact- but not as busy as it would have been had I gone to Dow's Lake that day. In the background here we have the National Gallery, Notre Dame, and the Peacekeeping Monument.
The tulips were at their peak.
This guy had other priorities while his humans were talking. He was chewing on a stick. He paused to look at me.
More tulips. We carry on here tomorrow.
...the red, pink and white are spectacular.
ReplyDeleteThey are.
DeleteIf dogs do understand as much human speech as some owners believe they must get very bored with hearing the same old tales repeated. The scent of flowers doesn't seem to be appealing to the canine nose.
ReplyDeleteNo, they like things we find unpleasant to smell.
DeleteNotre Dame cathedral in the background renders a very good image
