More today from where I left off yesterday, with the tulips at the east side of the property at the Museum of History.
Crossing to the east brings us to Jacques Cartier Park, a large sprawling park on the shore of the Ottawa River, to the east of the Alexandra Bridge. At this entrance, tulips ring the edges of the entry.
Also at this entry is a larger than life statue of a man who made his life into a legend, an icon to the province of Quebec. Maurice "Rocket" Richard was one of the greatest players in NHL history, part of a stellar era for the Montreal Canadiens. The statue balances much of its weight on one skate and the stick, and captures his fierce resilience when he was at the top of his game.
Heading into the park brought me to these large flowerbeds, filled with tulips at their peak.
The flowers are so vibrant!
