One weekend day during the Tulip Festival I crossed the Portage Bridge into Gatineau on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River. Here where the bridge emerges into the city is a large tulip bed near a bike path.
Moving along, I saw evidence of the hard work of squirrel gardeners, transplanting tulips into the grasses of this parkland.
The roadway led me east. Along this stretch of wide sidewalk are several raised flowerbeds that were filled with tulips.
Lovely colours.
