Here we carry on, with a stream of tulips between bushes.
Move a few feet, and the perspective changes.
From beauty to one ugly beast. The path led on, and I decided to document this hideous infill housing that clashes horribly with the neighbourhood.
I feel sorry for the neighbour across the street- this house is a lovely one.
One more view. I suppose this thing might fit in somewhere else- but here it sticks out like a sore thumb. And it seems perennially for sale.
The tulips are far more pleasant.
Still looking vibrant and colourful
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteHave a nice day, William!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteSuch situations and examples will be found everywhere, I think. It is certainly the case here in Fryslân too.
ReplyDeleteThis one's ugly.
DeleteThe tulips are truly splendid! The house on the other hand...not my cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteNor mine.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are beautiful. Take care, enjoy your day!
Thank you.
Delete...the modern house is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteTo each their own!
DeleteI agree about the tulips being more pleasant than that house.
ReplyDeleteVery much so.
DeleteAs for infill housing, it is the way of the future. It’s time to replace the expression “breed like rabbits” with “breed like humans.”
ReplyDeleteSo it seems.
DeleteThe tulips are the stars in that neighbourhood.
ReplyDeleteThey are.
DeleteIt takes something ugly to set off the beauty!
ReplyDeleteIt does.
DeleteThe amount of tulips in your city is mind boggling.
ReplyDeleteWe have many.
DeleteAmazing amount of tulips ~ great photos ~
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your day,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thank you.
DeleteThe house looks rather corporate.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteThere always seems to be somebody who can build an ugly house in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately.
DeleteI like that house - just not in that place... not even the tulips can safe the view.
ReplyDeleteTrue.
DeleteIsn't it strange how a house was designed for the inhabitants to look out on the view, without a care for its site in the neighborhood? We have a modern place built across from our post office here that does the same thing. Fortunately it's a mixed neighborhood, rather than nice housing next to a park like your monster. It sure is a nicely designed house, just plopped down from Mars.
ReplyDeleteSo it appears.
DeleteThat house can't beat the beauty of the tulips.
ReplyDeleteThe tulips help.
DeleteMarcan un camino para recorrer y admirar su belleza.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThat is quite the sight. There were some infolls in Vancouver when we visited the kids.
ReplyDeleteWe see them here more and more.
DeleteSo many tulips and I respect the amount of work it took to plant all of them.
ReplyDeleteA lot of work
DeleteThe tulips are lovely William.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks.
DeleteThe tulips are lovely the house less so:)
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteI don't know if I could live in a modern house like that, I prefer a more traditional one but it looks like they get an awesome view over the flowers.
ReplyDeleteTrue.
DeleteI really like when a bunch of the colours are mixed together.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
