The American mink is another member of the mustelid family.
Sea otters and river otters are as well.
The American badger is a formidable sight.
But the most formidable of them all is the wolverine. These animals are solitary in nature, but unfairly characterized as vicious brutes. There's more to them than that.
Plus they have the unfortunate status of sharing their name with a Drunken Hobbit from Marvel Comics.
The next set of dioramas are small ones, with this one featuring a Richardson's ground squirrel.
A pond habitat diorama includes an elusive water shrew, barely glimpsed at right.
The next one focuses on a brown bat.
A bigger diorama is nearby, including a number of caribou, and many more painted into the background.

DeleteUsed to see otters when visiting my mom and step-dad. They lived on a lake and would see them all the time. Fun to watch them.

DeleteYou might find the western Canada jumping mouse there. They climb up reeds over water and then fall in. they must be able to swim somehow.
