The Starlets
The Silver Starlets are a pair of buskers who were here as well last year, as some of you might remember. They're acrobats who specialize in an aerial show employing swings and long fabric. I caught them getting their act underway here.
I think I remember them from last year. The first thing I noticed in your photos is the pavement they're working on. Even the ball that yesterday's act balanced on is higher than I'd want to climb on over asphalt.
I like the name "Silver Starlets".
ReplyDeleteI agree. Great name.
DeleteThey got quite a crowd!
ReplyDeletego, ladies, go!
ReplyDeletei really think it is cool they just block the streets and have this get together, way cool!! ( ;
ReplyDeletethey draw quite a crowd! what strength and balance this takes!
ReplyDeleteThe skill of these acrobats must have been fascinating to watch.
ReplyDeleteWow these street actors are pretty good---well excellent. I scrolled through all the posts I missed. Good work.

ReplyDeleteI can imagine this was an impressive show. Do they work with a net? I hope!
ReplyDeleteI've seen that fabric swinging done here as a sort of acrobatic ballet.
ReplyDeleteThose aerobatic performers are fascinating.
ReplyDeleteTheir routine seems to have lots of variety which makes for a crowd pleaser.
ReplyDeleteGreat talent and a great name! Their act and performance are brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThat pavement is so hard to be working on! I hope thy had some pads or nets when up on the fabric.
ReplyDelete@Norma: it suits them.
ReplyDelete@Lowell: no net!
@Sharon: it's fascinating to watch.
@Linda: they are indeed.
@Red: it does draw a crowd.
@Bill: I agree.
@RedPat: none that I saw, though that might have changed as the act goes along.
It's fascinating that they can do that right there in the middle of the street!
ReplyDeleteThey have to have total confidence in each other to do that on cement.
ReplyDeleteBrave folks! Hope they didn't end up with road burn.
ReplyDeleteUm. No. Thank you, but no. LOL
ReplyDeleteI think I remember them from last year.
