The Cowguys are a pair of buskers from here in Ottawa, blending circus, magic, and goofy stupidity into a performance that amuses the audience. These two started off with balancing and tossing hoops while I was there, and moved into one using a bullwhip to slice the celery the other was holding in his hand.
Cow Guy Clowns! Look like goofy fun, WilliamReplyDelete
It seems that is normal in Ottawa, no?.ReplyDelete
Lots of fun on a sunny day, can't beat that!ReplyDelete
Non-stop activity! :)ReplyDelete
At least you have sunny days for streetartists.ReplyDelete
The festival had a lot of different acts! Another great one.ReplyDelete
I wonder how much damage was done before they figured out how to slice celery with a bullwhip? Sheesh! Fun to watch, though...ReplyDelete
And you really need to get a blizzard at Dairy Queen because you would find that blizzard and whatever it is that McDonald's put out is not even in the same world! Sheesh!
look like they enjoy performing. :)ReplyDelete
Schöne Bilder von dem Straßenfest.ReplyDelete
A bullwhip slicing celery? Shades of Indiana Jones!ReplyDelete
I see they involve members of the audience which most great acts do. Now walking on the ball creates all kinds of tension. We wait for the guy to fall off and he makes us think he will fall off.ReplyDelete
@Cloudia: it was.ReplyDelete
@Tomas: no, this isn't the norm here.
@Bill: there was no shortage of fun.
@Marleen: and more to come.
@Lowell: it had to be a lot of practice.
@Tex: I think so.
@Norma: he was cracking that whip!
@Red: audience participation is typical.
That is quite the balancing act.ReplyDelete
That is some control stood on a ball like thatReplyDelete
Love the silly fun.ReplyDelete
Must have been fun & the crowds don't look too horrendous!ReplyDelete
They seem to be having a good time entertaining everyone. How fun!ReplyDelete
Quite a performance which obviously drew an appreciative audience, including yourself.ReplyDelete
The cowboys. Will there be cowgirls? Too much fun!ReplyDelete
i love balancing on things ... this looks like fun! ( ;ReplyDelete
You got quite a show! I admire the performers for their skill and practice.ReplyDelete
Novelty gimmicks in an act add a spark of interest to the routine. These guys must have been creative.ReplyDelete
@Sharon: it is!ReplyDelete
@Bill: I'd fall off.
@Whisk: it's very silly.
@RedPat: these were taken in the first half of the act- with buskers, the crowd seem to grow as the act goes along.
@Lois: they were a treat to watch.
@Janis: there'll be girls to come!
@Beth: it was a lot of fun.
@Linda: it takes lots of skill.
@Gemma: they certainly were.
Good act. Papa was good with the bullwhip too. He never used it on the horses or cows though.ReplyDelete
Lots of people watching. I trust they were rewarding them for the entertainment.ReplyDelete
I'm reminded of the song, "Make 'em laugh" from "Singin' in the Rain." Goofy is fun. Goofy works. Mix in a few skills and you've got an act.ReplyDelete
Sounds dangerous to me!ReplyDelete
I never hear about these shows!ReplyDelete
@Mari: I'd end up hurting myself!ReplyDelete
@Pat: oh, I'd think they were.
@Kay: these guys had real talent.
@Cheryl: in the wrong hands, it could be.
@Jennifer: it's always the Civic Holiday weekend.
