One evening earlier this month there was a brilliant sunset amid cloudy skies. I walked onto the Bank Street Bridge and started to take photographs over the Rideau Canal.
I decided to take comparison shots in different settings- normal, black and white, negative, sepia, and aqua.
Here's one more look. The next day we had rain.
Very good ! It shows that you are a professional. The photos are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
Stunning sunsets! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I'm useless at twilight and night shots - should use a tripod! But you've managed really well - and I like the experimentation with different settings.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skies! I prefer natural, without the treatments, though some of them are interesting.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous!! enjoy the glow. so so nice! ( ;
ReplyDeleteThe sunsets cann be so beautiful this time of the year. Perfect pictures.
ReplyDelete@Tomas: thanks!

very pretty. i like using some of those effects, too. very otherworldly. ;)
ReplyDeleteInteresting experimentation with the different settings. I've tried that and most of the time I prefer the originall but sometimes sepia or black and white. It's good to do that just to see what it looks like. I like that you did it at sunset. I'll have to give it a go.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day William!
Gorgeous sky photos, William!
ReplyDeleteThe natural shots are my preferred.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky shots. One and two, three are the natural. Love them.

ReplyDeleteI like the real thing in your sunset photos!
ReplyDelete@Tex: especially negative.
ReplyDelete@Bill: of the alternatives, I prefer the black and white for general use. I should photograph Parliament Hill in black and white.

An exquisite sunset with a bank of grey cloud fringed with colour and water reflections.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! The effects are interesting, but I prefer the originals too.
ReplyDeleteNorthern Beauties!
ReplyDeleteThis time it is the photographs that are fabulous. Perhaps I should give that adjective to Mother Nature or the photographer.
