An Ancient Culture In Europe

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!

Bulgaria had a day to shine at the Ottawa Welcomes The World embassy series, in this case on a day in September. As has been the case at the previous events, the flags were flying outside the Horticulture Building.

Inside, displays included clothing, embroidery, tourism brochures, and a wealth of information about the culture of the country, which dates back thousands of years in Eastern Europe.

On stage while I was here, a documentary film was being shown about an archaeological dig in the country.

  2. Happy Thanksgiving. The only Bulgarian Canadian I know of is the actress Nina Dobrev of Degrassi and Vampire Diaries fame.

  11. I think Americans are perhaps more isolated than any other group of people on earth so exhibitions like this one is very important and helpful.

And I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration!

  17. All that stitch work is incredible and beautiful. It takes a lot of patience to do that, my wife loves stitching but on a much smaller scale. These exhibitions are fantastic and very informative.
Thanks William and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
