Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!
Bulgaria had a day to shine at the Ottawa Welcomes The World embassy series, in this case on a day in September. As has been the case at the previous events, the flags were flying outside the Horticulture Building.
Inside, displays included clothing, embroidery, tourism brochures, and a wealth of information about the culture of the country, which dates back thousands of years in Eastern Europe.
On stage while I was here, a documentary film was being shown about an archaeological dig in the country.
Interesting to see their national costumes, embroidery and to read about their culture. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving. The only Bulgarian Canadian I know of is the actress Nina Dobrev of Degrassi and Vampire Diaries fame.
