Autumn

Today I start a series with fall colours here, a season of change that can range from the end of August into the end of October. Fall colours can start quite early here, depending on the type of tree. This maple tree in Dundonald Park was already starting in early September.

A few days later this tree was getting more red to the leaves.

And a few days more, more colours in this park.

Late in September, these views were taken one morning coming through the Glebe.

I stepped down into Central Park here to take this shot of red among green before continuing on my way.

These leaves caught my eye a few blocks north.

This tree was turning red beside a church in Centretown, a few blocks further on.

And this ivy is on the side of a home in Centretown, just turning as I passed by.

That is the one thing I really miss living in the Southern hemisphere, a proper autumn.

  3. It looks like here ! It seems that you have the same trees and shrubs, that's probably why so many Europeans immigrated to Canada ! It looks like home !
