Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
Volcano eruption is destructive and scary.
The Museum Of Nature is really fascinating, William !
Interesting. One of the most wonderful vulcanic sites is Pompeï in Italy, I think.
The volcanoes are so severe ... but the mineral rocks are so beautiful!
@Nancy: true.@Karl: I think so.@Agnieszka: thank you.@Jan: very volcanic.@Ella: definitely.
Volcanos are fascinating. I just wouldn’t feel safe living anywhere near one!
Neat photosEarth doesn't look the same to me after taking an Earth Disasters geology course. Photos of Seattle may be nice, but all I see is the alto volcano in the distance.
Volcanos are so fascinating to me. I'm not sure why.
Good to see all those varieties of rocks. Mother earth comes in many varieties!
The volcanic cones remind me of gr 11 geography in the Ontario curriculum. Not that many take that course.
The rocks are wonderful!
A force of nature to be reckoned with ~ great post ~Moment by moment....A ShutterBug Explores,aka (A Creative Harbor)
...we have had some cataclysmic moments lately!
I When I travel. I never miss a volcano.
To witness an active volcano is pretty scary for me.
I would not want to be around an erupting volcano.
The part about the volcanoes is interesting.
Thank you for another interesting exhibit.
I wouldn't want ot live near a volcano. I visited Mount St. Helens in 1990 ten years after it blew its top. It was unreal to see the results of it.
Volcanoes are dangerous and mesmerising all at the same time.
Cataclysmic seems to be a good word to sum up your neighbors to the south these days. I fear the volcano is just beginning. Please, let us move to Canada!
The rocks are lovely to look at. The destruction not so much.
@Janey: unless they're extinct.@Maywyn: a risky part of the world.@Anvilcloud: I didn't, but find this fascinating.@RedPat: yes, they are.@Carol: thank you.@Tom: so it seems.@Red: I'd like to see one.
@David: for good reason.@Marie: me either.@Marleen: it is.@Iris: indeed.@Denise: thanks.@Bill: I'd like to see St. Helens.@Gemel: I agree.@Jeanie: fortunately some measure of sanity prevailed.@Joanne: the forces of nature.
