Brilliance At The Lake

I have traditionally made a point of featuring my last visit to Dow's Lake during the festival as the closing part of my Tulip Festival coverage. So it is this year, and over the next few days we'll see more of the tulips in Commissioners Park as they were in May. On this particular visit, some days after my previous visit, some of the tulips were spent, but many others were in full bloom. I started at the west end of the park.

  1. I do prefer these subtle pink coloured tulips in the Commissioners Park which are prettily complimented by the blue Muscari.

  6. I never thought of them having different bloom times. That's how good gardeners plan their gardens. Mine is a bit haphazard!

  12. These are my most favorite colors, while red and yellow are vibrant they aren't as pleasing to my eyes, and yet they're beautiful too! Pinks and blues, and violets and purple tones all the blue tones, yes those are my top faves!

  15. @Jennifer: they seem to plant them in a way that allows for blooms in succession so that you'll see some at their peak when others are coming along.

    @Magiceye: thank you.

    @Marie: a whole lot.

    @Mari: thank you.

    @Bill: definitely.

    @RedPat: it's a lot of work.
