Buskers On Victoria Day
While out at Commissioner's Park on Victoria Day taking more tulip photos, I happened across these two aerial buskers. The women were certainly drawing attention.
Good! Love also the place and how they set it...
ReplyDeleteI'd have given them a toonie for that! Better than most buskers I've seen.
ReplyDeleteDon't see that every day do you.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, of course.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
There is a lot going on in the parks nowadays :)
ReplyDeleteWonder if they do this full time, where they learned? For sure, there is an interesting backstory!

That's rather fascinating. I'd certainly stop and watch. Never have seen any "busking" like that!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIf I'd been there I would have stopped to watch for sure!
ReplyDeleteI too would have watched for a while. Were there buskers all over the park?
ReplyDeleteGood gosh, that doesn't look fun.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is fun !
ReplyDeleteGreat action shots, William !
Not your average busking! They have quite and act going.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJane x
Well these two buskers certainly made you forget about tulips. It's amazing the shows some buskers can put on.
ReplyDeleteThey are amazingly talented and STRONG! That was a nice bit of a diversion William :)
ReplyDelete@VP: and with tulips in the background!
ReplyDelete@Halcyon: it was very impressive to watch.
@Bill: it's quite a rarity.
@Tomas: it is that too!
@Marianne: the park was a very social area over the festival.
@Janis: some buskers make a living doing this all over the place through the year.
@Lowell: I have seen something similar done during our Busker's Festival, though I prefer this setting!
@Luis: I thought so.
@EG: it was pure chance seeing it going on, and I was glad to have the camera.
@Gill: no, just these two, but there was a musical stage elsewhere in the park with musicians throughout the weekend.
@Whisk: it's a lot of hard work.
@Karl: thank you!
@Sharon: they certainly do.
@Jane and Chris: I agree!
@Red: they certainly caught my attention.
@Grace: the strength in particular for that struck me, along with the flexibility.
I don't mind hard work but that kind, not so much for me. Looks like they're enjoying it though.
DeleteHappy Weekend.
That first one is something. Ouch!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun when one happens upon something like this.
ReplyDeleteI understand the draw!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!!
ReplyDeleteMB
wow, that's awesome! hope folks were generous with their tips!
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks amazing performance! I'm sure they entertained many visitors there!
ReplyDelete@Birdman: very much so.
ReplyDelete@Jackie: it really was.
@Cheryl: I was pleased to see it.
@MB: it was something else to see!
@Tex: I know I was.
@Tamago: they did. I tried to photograph in a way that didn't involve the audience, who were off to the one side, but there was quite a crowd.
Wow, how amazing! The strength and skill exhibited here is massive. Thanks, William. And thanks for letting me know about the photo size!
ReplyDeletei bet they r strong & flexible!! ( :
ReplyDeleteWe had the buskers in Kingston Ontario and now they are world wild.
ReplyDeleteAwesome.
Such talent! I've not seen this type of acrobatics before.
ReplyDeleteMagical!
ReplyDeleteWow! That was an amazing act!
ReplyDeleteMust have been very cool to watch. My back is aching just looking at them though!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise to find this on your way.
ReplyDeleteIf I tried that, I'd end up in a body cast!
ReplyDeletewow they certainly look amazing
ReplyDeleteCircus soleil?
ReplyDelete@Lynette: you're welcome!
ReplyDelete@Beth: I think they'd do well in arm wrestling.
@Carolann: we have a festival of them later in the summer.
@Linda: it's a lot of fun to watch.
@RedPat: I thought so!
@Joy: definitely!
@Ciel: I'm not quite that flexible myself!
@Jan: it certainly was.
@Norma: many would!
@Gerald: they do.
@Denise: that fits!
Very cool!
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteYes, that would certainly draw an onlooker or two. Wish I could have seen that.
ReplyDeleteNo that is something you don't see very often!
ReplyDeleteAmazing athletes.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of strength and control. They remind me of Cirque du Soleil - always amazing acrobatics.
ReplyDeleteLooks a bit like torture!
ReplyDeleteWauuu.. Skilled people.
ReplyDeleteIt must have been amazing!
ReplyDelete@Linda: I thought so!
ReplyDelete@Jennifer: wow indeed!
@Mari: buskers here tend to draw in the crowds.
@Lois: not often at all!
@Randy: definitely.
@Kay: it must take a lot of practice for them.
@Linda: and yet beautiful at the same time!
@Orvokki: very skilled.
@Jennifer: it was.
GREAT ACTION SHOTS.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWow quite agile folks and sure they attracted quite a group of onlookers...and maybe some spare change as well?
ReplyDeleteI strongly suspect these are members of a troupe here called Aerial Antics who appear quite a bit at events.
DeleteI love the portable contraption. Also think acrobats are the best.
ReplyDeleteThey really did well on it.
