This is a view from 1912, sent to me by Linda at Linda's Peaceful Place. This building, once a town hall, is on Main Street, in a portion of the city founded as a village, Ottawa East. Years after this photo was taken, the village was incorporated into the city. These days the building is referred to as the Old Town Hall, and it is now used a community centre.
The place hasn't changed that much over the years since then, though the street before it is undergoing major upgrades at present. The building itself is having some work done outside, a replacement of the front steps and accessibility ramp, so the back door is the present entrance.
