Bendy Em is a contortionist born in Britain and now based out of Australia. I had seen her act here before at previous Buskerfests, and was pleased to see her again. She started out by getting her stage area ready, bantering with the growing audience, and then showing just how flexible she is. And that was just the start. I have more from her act tomorrow.
She is in good shape!ReplyDelete
An extraordinary person. Whenever I watch contortionist, I marvel at their great flexibility!ReplyDelete
Some people do strange things for a living..ReplyDelete
I could never do that!ReplyDelete
Now that's being flexible.ReplyDelete
Now my back truly does ache. :-)ReplyDelete
I could never do that too!ReplyDelete
@Linda: she is.ReplyDelete
@Nancy: she's very flexible.
@Stefan: me neither.
@Revrunner: more to come.
@Karl: it would be challenging.
holy moly I am speechlessReplyDelete
bendy em. :)ReplyDelete
Ahem! Bendy Em is too bendy for me! How doth she do that. I was wondering how these Busker people get paid...from the city of Ottawa. It's not cheap to travel half-way across the world.ReplyDelete
It's the kind of act where you say, "How can she do that?"ReplyDelete
Sometimes it makes me cringe watching these contortionists! Amazing!ReplyDelete
Wow! I wonder if she ever gets stuck in one position.ReplyDelete
Wow, she is really flexible. Great contortion act!ReplyDelete
Amazing flexibility. Great to see someone in the festival representing Australia.ReplyDelete
Banter is almost more important than the talent on display!ReplyDelete
@Hilary: wait until you see her next act.ReplyDelete
@Tex: quite a stage name.
@Lowell: I think the festival handles hospitality, but the buskers earn a living through whatever the crowd pays, so it is important to do so.
@Red: I have seen her grand finale several times and I still ask that.
@Linda: come back tomorrow!
@Lois: I wondered that.
@Tamago: I can't do that!
@Gemma: the festival is quite international.
@Cloudia: it is essential.
Have never understood how anyone could be that limber.ReplyDelete
(I think I will just continue with my WALKS.)
Well twist me in a pretzel shape and dip me in chocolate.ReplyDelete
Amazing that you are actually getting to know the buskers!ReplyDelete
You'll have to chronicle their adventures in Ottawa.
now i want a pretzel. LOL!! ( :ReplyDelete
@Janey: it's quite a talent.ReplyDelete
@Gunn: me too!
@Janis: it was fun to see.
@Beth: I can see that.
If I tried this, I'd end up in a body cast!ReplyDelete
Really?? How do people get that way? And why in the world would they even try?? I can appreciate yoga, but...ReplyDelete
She is in good shape but when I was a kid. I used to do the splits, rolling a ball. Now I have unwound and I am lady walking now bone to bone legs.ReplyDelete
My Granddaughter as I have shown her on my Imagination. I call her the flying Melissa. In summer time. Taught ladies exercises and some kind of dancing. As much as one can be like an elastic band . Time will tell when you get older. If you have any mush still in-between your bones. Your one lucky lady.
@Norma: me too!ReplyDelete
@Kay: it was a hell of a thing to see.
@Carolann: I couldn't do it.
