Throw 2 Catch

Throw 2 Catch is a group of three buskers, with an expertise in circus acrobatics and juggling. They were the peoples choice winners for Buskerfest last year. I caught part of their act during the festival.

  1. That looks like it was fun to watch. I have to admit though with their name I was wondering if two of the guys juggle the other guy.

  9. Some of these acts delight in emphasizing that they are going to fall. Somewhere I've seen a similar act.

  10. I had a feeling they were going to do dangerous stunts and after seeing your photos, I was right. There's just no explaining some people!

  15. @Sharon: and quite high!

    @Red: I expect they have to learn how to fall safely. I remember a family friend- actually a distant cousin- who did time in the military and parachute drops. They taught them how to land in such a way that you were minimizing the impact. One day he fell off the roof at his home, and the training still kicked in- walked away without a problem.

    @Lowell: it's such a treat to watch.

    @Linda: it is!

    @Karl: so much fun.

    @Jennifer: it's a blast to watch it.

    @Marleen: and he makes it look effortless.

    @Beth: it's bizarre to watch, but entertaining.

    @Tamago: indeed!

  17. Uh-oh! Don't like the looks of that seesaw. He's not going to take one of those flying leaps, is he?

  19. How do they think up stunts like that? "Hey! That would really freak out my mother! Let's try doing that!"

  20. @Janey: a common reaction!

    @Revrunner: they get quite aerial!

    @Whisk: indeed.

    @Mari: it is.

    @Kay: that wouldn't surprise me.

    @Norma: it was!

  23. Did you notice a group called BAM. I was in the picture years ago with them. They have oil drums. They bang on them. Then they do comedy also. They used to write me years ago.

    If I find the picture I will mail it to you at your private email. Back then they gave out their emails to the fans. Plus it was the first street acts in Kingston and then it boomed into all cities. So they may have gone. Most of them make money to go to University. Who knows. Maybe some in the group have become Lawyers, doctors. The live statues meaning people. They are still around but are different. Mine were gold standing. Maybe theses are silver? Something how long they can stand without a blink.
